Yogyakarta, 2024 – The Directorate of Research and Community Service at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) organized a workshop on strengthening online resilience for students at SMP Negeri 10 Yogyakarta. The workshop was funded through the Matching Fund Program under the Community Problem-Solving Scheme and led by Prof. Dr. Siti Irene Astuti Dwiningrum, M.Si., together with team members Dr. Ariefa Efianingrum, M.Si., Dr. Pratiwi Wahyu Widiarti, M.Si., and Muslikhin, Ph.D. The workshop was supported by facilitators Nopita Sitompul, M.Pd., and Anindita A., along with university students who assisted participants in using playing cards and interactive animations as learning media. The workshop was held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in the mosque courtyard at SMP Negeri 10 Yogyakarta. The event was attended by students in grades seven through nine at SMP Negeri 10 Yogyakarta.

The workshop began with a presentation on resilience delivered by Prof. Dr. Siti Irene Astuti Dwiningrum, M.Si. During her presentation, she emphasized that resilience is an essential quality for teachers in delivering learning materials at school. She introduced an educational resource entitled "Animasi Interaktif Kelas Khusus Harapan" (Special Class of Hope Interactive Animation), which tells the story of Ms. Nita, a contract teacher who guides ten students facing various personal and behavioral challenges. Through her dedication and perseverance, she helps transform students who were initially difficult to manage into high-achieving and inspiring individuals.

Strengthening resilience is expected to enhance students' motivation and perseverance in overcoming various learning challenges at school. Educational innovations incorporating diverse learning media can be utilized to strengthen students' online literacy resilience. The use of varied instructional methods serves as an important foundation for motivating teachers to design learning activities that foster students' literacy resilience. Through this workshop, teachers were expected to develop greater awareness of the importance of integrating culturally based approaches into classroom instruction to strengthen online resilience and promote more creative and effective teaching and learning.
