Online Resilience Initiative for Senior High School Teachers across Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta, 2024 – The Directorate of Research and Community Service of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta conducted an Online Resilience Initiative workshop for senior high school teachers across Yogyakarta City through the Matching Fund Program under the Community Problem-Solving scheme, led by Prof. Dr. Siti Irene Astuti Dwiningrum, M.Si., with team members Dr. Ariefa Efianingrum, M.Si., Dr. Pratiwi Wahyu Widiarti, M.Si., Muslikhin, Ph.D., and supported by facilitators Nopita Sitompul, M.Pd., and Anindita A., along with university students assisting in the use of playing card media and interactive animation. The workshop was held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Abdullah Sigit Hall, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Education and Psychology, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta.

The program began with an introduction to online resilience delivered by Prof. Dr. Siti Irene Astuti Dwiningrum, M.Si. In her presentation, she emphasized that resilience is an essential quality that teachers should possess in delivering instructional materials effectively. Strengthening resilience is expected to help address student challenges by preparing them to better face academic demands. Innovative learning approaches that incorporate diverse instructional models can serve as an important foundation for strengthening online resilience. Teachers’ creativity in managing the learning process is also a key factor in designing effective instructional strategies that enhance students’ online resilience. Through this workshop, teachers are expected to develop greater awareness of the importance of applying varied instructional approaches to strengthen online resilience, resulting in more creative and effective teaching practices.
