The activity was held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Flinders University, Australia, targeting lecturers at Flinders University as participants.

The workshop included a series of activities designed to foster awareness and appreciation of Indonesian culture. First, participants were invited to create their own “River of Life” maps, illustrating their life journeys and cultural experiences. This activity helped participants recognize and appreciate their cultural roots. Second, participants took part in a batik-making workshop, introducing them to one of Indonesia’s cultural heritage traditions recognized by UNESCO. Through this activity, participants not only learned batik techniques and skills but also gained an understanding of the philosophical meanings and cultural values embedded in batik art. The program aimed to strengthen national cultural identity amid globalization and foster appreciation for Indonesian cultural heritage among lecturers and students at Flinders University, Australia.

Through this workshop, lecturers and students are expected to serve as cultural ambassadors who can promote and preserve Indonesian culture in Australia, while also strengthening cultural connections between Indonesia and Australia.
