Strengthening the Resilience of the Makmur Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta through the Development of Eco-Print Products to Improve Family Welfare

Sleman, 2022 – The Directorate of Research and Community Service of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta conducted a resilience strengthening workshop aimed at improving family welfare through the development of eco-print products, funded under the Community Service Regional Development scheme. The program was led by Prof. Dr. Siti Irene Astuti Dwiningrum, M.Si., with team members Dr. Kun Sri Budiasih, M.Si., and Evi Rovikoh Indah Saputri, M.Pd. The activity was held on Friday, July 22, 2022, in the auditorium of Al Huda Harnas Mosque, Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta.

The Makmur Women Farmers Group (KWT) of Mantrijeron District, Yogyakarta, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Siti Irene Astuti Dwiningrum, M.Si., developed eco-print products to strengthen their family welfare resilience. This initiative aimed to enhance the group members’ skills in producing environmentally friendly products using natural materials such as leaves, flowers, and branches, resulting in fabrics with high aesthetic value.

In addition to improving skills and expanding economic opportunities, the program also aimed to strengthen the resilience of KWT members in addressing economic and environmental challenges. As the project leader, Prof. Dr. Siti Irene Astuti Dwiningrum, M.Si., provided comprehensive mentoring, covering eco-print techniques as well as marketing strategies. Through this approach, KWT members are expected to address challenges more effectively, maintain their mental well-being, and improve their overall family welfare.
